Classification Essay

Since forever, parental styles have been a disputable subject. Numerous individuals accept that it can influence your youth. Others accept that it doesn’t. Parental styles may assume an immense job in an individual’s future. I accept that support is the thing that characterizes an individual and their activities. Three sorts of child rearing abilities are: Authoritative, Authoritarian and Permissive. Numerous pioneers all through history were influenced by their child rearing abilities. The manner in which they were raised and treated by their folks; might be the motivation behind why they did certain things.

Authoritative child rearing has a lot of limits. They are generally adoring, mindful and firm. This sort of child rearing ability equalizes for both acquiescence and opportunity. It has limits and anticipates that their kids should obey them. By and large these guardians realize how to make a youngster agreeable. They see how to adjust expectations. The ones that might be too high or low. Authoritative child rearing is an understanding strategy that is extremely normal. Having the option to let the child have opportunity yet having restrictions. Having the option to be that “getting” parent. Authoritative child rearing can be effectively taken note. As they develop more seasoned they get treated as their age. They increase obligation as they go. These guardians have rules and the kid understands with them. Legitimate guardians convey loads of warmth to their children. They abstain from utilizing rough or unforgiving disciplines. They perceive and energize a youngster’s feeling of self-governance. They need children to create self-restraint, and development. Anyway when essential they do discipline the youngster. Cornell University states, authoritative guardians regularly develop children into mindful grown-ups. They show autonomy and development. Anyway this doesn’t constantly mean its actual. Much of the time an individual can show awful activities. However still was raised with Authoritative guardians. A case of this would be the terrorists Osama Bin Laden. Bin laden never truly had a horrible adolescence. He had a typical youth like some other child would have. His folks never affronted him and treated him like his own age. He went through numerous significant occasions that may influence him as an individual. His dad treated him like a grown-up at a youthful age. He was raised to adopt the thought process of a man. To make “masculine” choices when he was youthful. His folks were separated when he was a youngster. They were still always there as a parental figure. In school he was assumed as a decent child. He was perceived as a “decent understudy” by numerous instructors. Throughout his youth he has consistently been great. Anyway regardless he cause a horrific occasion that murdered a huge number of lives. Child rearing don’t play an impact on an individual however their environment.

Authoritarian parenting is presumed as exacting. They are known as inflexible, and unyielding. They generally pass by their promise and just theirs. They control a child life. They don’t enable them to settle on choices of their own. Dictator guardians  don’t clarify the purpose for their principles. So as to discipline them they may have unforgiving and fierce strategies. With regards to their kid passionate needs they might be uncaring. These guardians are authoritarian. They need their kids to rush to do as is commonly said decisively. These guardians couldn’t care less what their kids may think. Numerous kids may feel as though they don’t have a state. They are not allowed to express how they feel. As indicated by Syracuse college numerous kids who experience Authoritarian child rearing. Many may not feel like their very own individual. They may feel as though they don’t have their very own brain. At the point when they are grown-ups they may feel scared. Scared of the world and disliked. A large number of these children grow up afraid. It can impact them in acting a specific way. They can be excessively controlling of others or excessively accommodating. Like Adolf Hitler he had a horrendous and controlling youth. Numerous researchers state this can be his motivation. The motivation behind why he wanted to control an entire country. His adolescence comprised of his dad abusing him. His dad Alois would mortify and thump him day by day. His dad was never a decent father figure for him. Despite the fact that he had both a mother and father his mom was bad either. His mom spent, lamenting for three kids who had passed on of diphtheria. He never had any kind of parental figure. Adolf Hitler caused a tremendous measure of damage to European jews. He was a tyranny in which numerous individuals tailed him. He made an annihilation called: The Holocaust. His youth assumed an enormous job in his adulthood. He was harmed as a child and chose to harm others.

Permissive parenting skill can be the “Laissez faire” in parenting. They usually easy- going or indulgent. They let their child do what they please. They don’t want to impose their will on their child’s developing personality. If their child does something that is not right. There will be no consequences. There are no rules or consequences. They avoid and go around natural or logical consequences. They do this in order to save their child from harm or unhappiness. Permissive parents try not to harm their child even when it comes to obedience. They are usually kind and loving. When a wild behavior becomes unacceptable they tend to become very frustrated. No matter how frustrated the parents may be they do not step in. They do nothing to cause a change in that child behavior. Permissive parenting often are not involved in a child life. But if that child is being harm in some sort of way. They allow the children to do what they want. If they do something “wrong” there will no consequences. They do not want to upset the child. When it comes to disobedience they do not harm or do anything violent to them. According to Cornell university it states that permissive parenting may cause the negative effects. It may cause teen and young adult children to remain self-centered. Children who have parents who may be Permissive parents dislike it. “Perspectives of troy” it states kids have said they often feel unimportant. The kid may do “rebellious” actions to get the parents attention. Ted Bundy, an American serial killer, kidnapped, raped, and murdered young women. He had a confusing childhood. Bundy initially thought his mother was his sister. He also thought his grandfather was his father. As a kid he was confused. No one really payed attention to him. He did many illegal things like killing people. Many scientist believe this is due to the fact of how he was raised. The fact that there was not a parental figure for him.

Generally speaking, there are three unique kinds of child rearing aptitudes. Authoritative, Authoritarian and Permissive.  Each depicting child rearing aptitudes showing acquiescence in an alternate manner. Authoritative child rearing aptitudes are firm yet minding. They are normally lenient anyway they have a lot of limits. Known to be getting guardians. In which let their youngster take their own behavior and choices. These guardians enable their kids to settle on decisions that are age-suitable. Then again Authoritarian child rearing abilities are generally exacting. Everything needs to pass by their promise and just their statement. They for the most part couldn’t care less about their children emotions. With regards to acquiescence they rebuff them cruelly. Permissive child rearing is usually when the parent is not really there to say much. They don’t usually get into the child business. They let them do what they please. The adolescence of a kid and grown-up does influence and make who the individual is. Anyway I believe that what make really an individual is their environment. Like Adolf Hitler his youth was harsh. He grew up to settle on extremely awful choices throughout everyday life. Anyway Osama bin Laden had a typical youth. His folks never abused him however despite everything he took exceptionally terrible choices. Ted Bundy was a serial killer. He did many actions to catch his parents attention. Due to the fact that they were never there. I accept that sustain is the thing that really characterizes an individual.

Comparison/ Contrast essay

Throughout history, parental styles have been a controversial topic. Many people believe that it can affect your childhood. Others believe that it does not. However in many cases the outcome from childhood experiences are defined. Some are defined by nature and some by nurture. Parental styles may play a huge role in a person’s future. I believe that nurture is what defines a person and their actions. Two types of parenting skills are: Authoritative and Authoritarian. Many leaders throughout history were affected by their parenting skills. The way they were raised and treated by their parents or backgrounds. It may be the reason why they did certain things.

Authoritative parenting has a set of boundaries. They are usually loving, caring and firm. This type of parenting skill is a good balance. It balances both obedience and freedom. It consists of having boundaries and expecting their children to obey them. Parents who choose this parenting are neither strict or overly indulgent. In most cases these parents know how to make a child comfortable. They understand how to balance expectations. Expectations that may be too high or too low. Authoritative parenting is an understanding method that is very common. Being able to let the kid have freedom yet having limitations. Being able to be that “understanding” parent. Authoritative parenting can be easily noticed. When we have friends come to our home we want to have fun. Hanging out while also knowing there are limits to what we can do. As they grow older they get treated as their age. They gain responsibility as they go. These parents have rules and guidelines. In many cases the child comprehends with them. Authoritative parents communicate lots of warmth to their kids. They avoid using violent or harsh punishments. They recognize and encourage a child’s sense of autonomy. They want kids to develop self-discipline, maturity, and a respect for others. However when necessary they do discipline the child. Cornell University states, children raised by Authoritative parents become responsible adults. They display independence and maturity. However this does not always mean its true. In many cases a person can display bad actions. Even if they were raised with Authoritative parents. An example of this would be the terrorists Osama Bin Laden. Bin Laden never really had a terrible childhood. He had a normal childhood like any other kid would have. His parents never disrespected him and treated him like his own age. However he did go through many important events. These events affected him as a person. His father treated him like an adult at a young age. He was raised to think like a man. To make “manly” decisions when he was young. His parents were separated when he was a child. However they were still alway there as a parental figure. In school he was presumed as a good kid. He was recognized as a “good student” by many teachers. Throughout his childhood he has always been good. However he still cause a horrific event that killed thousands of lives. Sometimes parenting skills don’t play an effect on a person but their surroundings.

Authoritarian parenting is presumed as strict. They are known as inflexible, and unbending. They usually go by their word and only theirs. Authoritarian parenting usually expect obedience without any excuses or question. In most cases they control a child’s life. They do not allow them to make decisions of their own. Authoritarian parents usually do not explain the reason behind their rules. If a rule is ever broken or disobeyed the child will most likely have consequences. In order to discipline them they may have harsh and violent methods. When it comes to their child emotional needs they may be insensitive. These parents are dictatorial. They want their children to be quick to do as they say without any hesitation. These parents usually do not care what their children may think. Many children may feel as if they do not have a say. They are not allowed to express how they feel. According to Syracuse university many children who undergo Authoritarian parenting hate it. They may not feel like their own person. They may feel as if they do not have a mind. Even feel like they are not a “full” person. When they grow up as adults they may feel afraid. Afraid of the world and unloved. Many of these children grow up and become afraid to say what they feel. It can influence them by acting a certain way. They can be too controlling of others or too submissive. Even disconnected from their own feelings. Like Adolf Hitler he had a terrible and controlling childhood. This can be the reason why he wanted to control a whole nation. His childhood consisted of his father mistreating him. His father Alois would humiliate and beat him up daily. His father was never a good father figure for him. Even though he had both a mother and father his mother was not good either. His mother Klara spent, grieving for three older children who died of diphtheria. He never had any sort of parental figure. Adolf Hitler caused a huge amount of damage and deaths to European Jews. He was a dictatorship in which many people followed him. He created a genocide called: The Holocaust. His childhood played a huge role in his adulthood. He was damaged as a kid and decided to damage other people. His father known to be controlling also wanted to take those footsteps and be a “leader” as well.

Overall, there are two different types of parenting skills. Authoritative and Authoritarian parenting are both distinctive. Each portraying parenting skills that show obedience in a different way. Authoritative parenting skills are firm but caring. They are usually lenient however they have a set of boundaries. Known to be understanding parents. In which let their child take their own actions and decisions. These parents allow their children to make choices that are age-appropriate. Which encouraging them to take on more responsibility as they grow. On the other hand Authoritarian parenting skills are usually strict. Everything has to go by their word and only their word. They usually do not care about their children feelings. When it comes to obedience they punish them harshly. I believe that the childhood of a child and adult does affect them. It makes who the person is. However I believe that what makes a person is their surroundings and background. Like Adolf hitler his childhood was rough. He grew up to make very bad decisions in life. However Osama Bin Laden had a normal childhood. His parents never mistreated him but he still took very bad decisions. I believe that nurture is what actually defines a person and their actions.

“What Leadership Means To Me”

Leadership appears in various ways. Throughout history it is portrayed that there needs to be a ruler. It is not necessary that we need a leader. However due to history we have always had leaders. The human kind thinks we “need” some sort of leader.

The whole reality behind this lie is we do not need a leader. We are not obligated to have one or listen to them. Since the human race has been taught to only live with leaders. They are oblivious to do things without a leader. Its’ human nature and this even applies to animals. The “leader” for the animal kingdom will be the lion. Every animal listens and obeys the lion. The lion will always have the final word. In reality who said the lion is the leader? This is just human nature. It can not be avoided. It is bound to happen because as humans we are like that.

“Leadership” is bound to happen and is part of our human nature. A leader will not be a leader if it has no followers. A leader without its followers are nothing. Once it has followers its like it gains some sort of power. A leader is always going to have at least one follower. It may be because they look up or agree with them.

A leader to me is when a person stands up for their beliefs. Not caring what people think of them. Even not caring whether or not people agree with them. Having a voice in order to make a change or something known.

Socrates is an example of a leader. He was convicted of corrupting the mind of the youth. That was the reason he went to jail. As a leader he was giving the youth ideas. He kept them open minded. There are many types of leaders and Socrates was one of them. One of the few to change the way people think. Not all leaders we have to obey them. However, if we do not there may be consequences. It is just like the state. If you disobey the law there will be consequences. If you don’t feel like doing something there may be consequences. “The State is a Family” like a family you must obey the rules. That is when leadership comes into play. They “have” to do instead of what we “want” to do. There is really no sense of freedom. Even if we are considered “citizens”. It is either we follow the rules or we don’t. However, there will be consequences.

A leader to me is someone who portrays their ideas out loud. In order to make themselves heard. A leader is someone who takes upon their ideas while having followers. They are not always corrupt. Some are just philosophers who want their voices heard. A person who stands up for what is right or wrong is a leader. A leader is not always needed. It is more to help the people’s voices to be known.

Are governments necessary why and why not?

In history/present day we have always had a government. We have always lived with laws and rules. We always had someone or something to keep control. The truth is the human mind is gullible. We would be confused if we didn’t have any form of government. However, it still does not mean we can not live without it. Having a government can be very useful and help control the people. Society may not need it. However in reality we wouldn’t know what to do without it.

Governments are not always necessary. In some cases the government can just make society worse than better. We have been convinced that governments are necessary for our entire lives. We think this because our own government has drilled this idea. During the Great Depression the stock market crashed. However, the truth behind the Great Depression was not the stock market. It was caused by a massive government failure. It was led by the Federal Reserve’s. Which is a rapid 25 percent contraction of the money supply. There can be a nation without a leadership or any type of government. Things can be peaceful. If the government gets in control. the results will lead to power hungry by many people. Northern Ireland at one point did not have a government. It did not have a government for two years. Northern Ireland found itself without a government of its own. This occurred after deputy first minister Martin McGuinness walked out. This situation is unique. The absence of political leadership has not seen public services collapse. Many people are able to go about their normal, daily business. Exactly what is the point of a government. There are people who have learned to cope and live without one. We often do not need a government. However, without it there may cause problems. Mankind is not used to living a life without a government.

A government is not necessary. But a nation would be a mess without it. Without a government and laws people will do what they please. They know there will be no consequences. Having consequences for societies bad actions is what mainly restricts them. It restricts them from breaking any laws. Human beings are selfish. If there was a country without an institution to set the rules/laws. There would be too many people taking advantage of it. Many would be acting for their own benefits. Unlike Northern Ireland which has learned to prosper without a government. Somalia became an anarchy due to lack of government. Somalia was torn apart by the lack of governmental stability. This lead to an increase of crime. This then leaded to an economic crisis, ending out at piracy. Living in a country where you could not afford food or education. Where your everyday life consists of watching people get hurt. Watching the people you care about get sucked into a bloody feud fueled. Watching it be corrupt by money and child soldiers. In which your only options that are “reasonable” are join the war. Enough for your friends and family to live in a comfortable environment. In a world with different kinds of people everywhere. There will always be some kind of violence and abuse. Especially by the ones who consider themselves to be stronger than others. The ones seeking for power.

Overall in history there has really not not been a government. We would not know how society is without one. Humankind have always believed that we need control. However this does not mean we need a government. It does not mean we need one to have a steady society. It also does not mean we do not need a government. In most cases without a government it will lead to chaos. People using their own selfish acts. Do whatever it takes to have power. Society would be a mess without it. A government is not necessary. However humankind has made it inevitable to live without it. We need some sort of control.
